plymouth church fieldwork

we went to plymouth church, where we met lois rosebrooks, a member of the congregation and the church's resident historian. she lectured for a while on the history of the place and the people, and then we took turns asking questions and climbing down into the basement, which was used to shelter fugitive slaves in what has been called the 'grand central terminal' of the underground railroad in brooklyn.
