each one teach one

summary:
we spent today preparing kids for the weekend homework. we began by discussing the five most important things for people to know about native american boarding schools, with a new emphasis on the two very different perspectives on nabs held by the us government an the indigenous people of north america. we then worked together to brainstorm connections/comparisons, examples, possible confusion, and materials. they left looking pretty ready to go home this weekend and teach a family member about native american boarding schools.

homework:
each one teach one: two perspectives on nabs (below, due 11/18). note: family members only need to summarize their learning and sign; feedback for students and for me is optional, but very much appreciated.
